The St. Johns Neighborhood Association has active committees in the following areas:
Land Use
The SJNA Land Use Committee reviews land issues within the neighborhood’s borders. The committee is a good resource to hear about current notices. Members are available to answer questions regarding planning and development.
The Land Use Committee seeks to create a vibrant, sustainable, and livable community through advocacy and public awareness. Its objectives are to implement the vision and goals outlined by the St. Johns/Lombard Plan (2004).

OLCC
The OLCC Committee works with the Oregon Liquor Control Commission, city, and neighborhood bars and liquor stores to establish good neighbor agreements. It ensures that neighborhood safety and livability are taken into consideration when decisions are made about issuing or renewing licenses. It can mediate between neighbors and bar owners if conflict arises.

The St Johns Tree Team works to improve the health and quality of the St Johns Neighborhood by increasing the benefits provided by the urban canopy. We will:
- Increase the size of the urban canopy through new plantings and ensuring the future health and growth of existing trees
- Increase the health of our neighborhood trees to improve air and water filtration
- Provide assistance to neighbors to care for their trees
- Improve the beauty of our community
- Help to identify fruit trees and tree owners that wish to share their produce with neighbors in need, and connect them with the structure to do so
- Provide other specific assistance as needed by our neighbors
